Quality Assurance
Multiprint has complete control of the printing process. This is achieved through the quality control and inspection systems. This ensures quality is at the forefront of our process. Every job records each aspect of the print process from pre-press, production through to inspection and dispatch. Labels are continuously checked at the beginning, during and end of each production run to ensure consistency.

Consistency of Colour
Once colour is achieved, accurate record keeping insures that the process does not have to be repeated. This is processed by Colour matching with Anilox ID recognition. Colour matching can be tailored for specific customers and/or products. Multiprint in association with Paragon Inks uses the Vale-Tech Colour Pack with Ink Manager Software. This is a PC controlled scale that weighs ink formulations to the specifications of a database system. Ink Manager is a Windows system that is user friendly and contains our ink suppliers’ full mixing guide along with the standard Pantone® system.

Testing

Sutherland Rub Tester
Multiprint can simulate the effect of friction of other labels or surfaces on the label under the conditions advised by the customer.

Tenney Environmental Chamber
The Tenney Environmental Chamber recreates the effects of condensation or moisture on the label and the container, ensuring the substrate and adhesive are suitable for products that will be kept in a shower or bathroom or a moist environment.

Atlas Lightfastness Unit
This equipment demonstrates the effects of sunlight on the decoration of the label, this can be done to any timescale, days, weeks years, particularly if the product goes to a warm climate.

Ad hoc testing
Multiprint also has the use of our suppliers test equipment for more in depth analysis if required on more technically related enquiries or investigations.

All the above testing ensures the label is fit for the purpose and the environment it will be subjected to prior to and after hitting the shelves.
